Audio support for Ricky Fowler and Patrick Cantray Keegan Bradley to play captain on the US Ryder Cup team

it has been Since his appointment was announced, the topic has been announced in the world of golf, and now he is likely supporting Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley as the prime minister of both Biennial Competition, set at Bethpage Black on September 26-28.

The US team’s automatic qualifying period has already locked the team’s spots with Scotty Schaeffler, JJ Span and Zander Schaufele after this week’s BMW Championship. After the final three have been secured by the end of the week, Bradley will have to sift through a long list of names from a selection of six captains, which will be announced on Wednesday, August 27th, including himself.

“If I were the captain, I would choose Keegan,” Patrick Cantray said. “I think he’s playing great… I think he has a lot of responsibility that week, so if he feels he can play golf like a normal week given all the other responsibilities, then I’m saying that if I’m the captain and I was thinking, he’s definitely one of the American players and his results showed that.”

Ironically, Cantray could be putting his own candidate in his words as the 2021 FedEx Cup champion is one of many players competing for Bradley’s attention. Cantray is a staple of the US teams in the Ryder Cup and Presidential Cup, and has been the Presidential Cup for the past 50 years, and will need a captain’s pick to play for the sixth American team between the two tournaments.

Cantrey has also been joined by other experienced players, such as Justin Thomas and Colin Morakawa, who are looking out.

Of course, this player’s crop does not include Bradley’s own name. He is in 10th place in the rankings with one tournament remaining in the qualification process. Bradley won the Travelers Championship at the end of June and appeared to step into the captain role. But since then, there have been a lot of changes in the month.

Players like Young and Gotterup had impressive wins on the PGA Tour, with Bradley’s form hitting a slight hit with zero top 20 finishes in his final four tournaments. Still, Bradley continues to receive praise from his peers, including Ricky Fowler, who reflected Cantrey’s feelings.

“I’ll choose him too,” Fowler said. “I think it’s hard to find Americans and a lot of Americans to discuss that point. We’ll see. He might end up with a number 10, 11 where he doesn’t think he should choose himself.

“Like I said, I don’t think you’re going to find an American who’s trying to insist he shouldn’t be on the team.”

At 39, Bradley will be captain of the American Ryder Cup since Arnold Palmer in 1963. By chance, he served as the final captain of Red, White and Blue.
