  • Celtics give rangers early advantage
  • Celtic was hoping to submit a second Irving offer

Already seeing one bid being rejected, Celt is expected to file a second offer to sign the Premier League midfielder ahead of the old company’s rival ranger.

Celtics give rangers early advantage

After just two matches in the Scottish Premiership, Celtic is already four points ahead of the Rangers, following two frustrating draws by Garth. While Russell Martin’s team slipped, Boys defeated St. Mirren and Aberdeen and signed Benjamin Niglen to win the club’s first goal.

While Hart was only matched by winning both opening games with the Scottish champion, Celtic hopes to pull away from rivals in all titles in order to continue their domination under Brendan Rodgers this season.

After scoring the club’s first goal, the summer arrival told reporters: “That’s how I want to play, I can run a lot, so I want to be as involved as possible and help the team win, so I’m very pleased with the performance I’m doing today and the team’s performance.

“It was amazing (his goal) – a perfect cross from Kieran and a solid finish, and I ran to celebrate with the fans and the team.

But even after a solid start to their campaign, Celtic is reportedly still looking for reinforcements and is set to launch a second offer to sign the Premier League midfielder.

Celtic was hoping to submit a second Irving offer

As reported by Claret and Hugh, Celtic is expected to file another offer to sign Andy Irving from West Ham United after seeing a £2.5 million opening bid by Hammers. The London Club is reportedly on the £3.5 million to sell the midfielder amid interest from Boys and rival rangers.

Sources told Claret and Hugh: “There’s a lot of interest, but so far, just one bid, and that was last month. I think I’ll get another offer soon.”

Despite the asking price of £3.5 million, West Ham is believed to accept £3 million this summer to commit a crime. In a transfer battle against their old company rivals, it’s the price that the Celtic should match before the deadline arrives at the beginning of September.

Even if he struggles to keep pace with the Premier League, Irving appears to be enough to win the praises of Jarrod Bowen. The West Ham star told reporters in February: “Andy was incredibly hard and incredibly patient. I’m really good with Andy. I’ve had lots of chats with him and I’ve always said I know his time is coming because I’ve seen him in training.”
