Brighton manager Fabian Hazeler spoke about the situation surrounding the club’s star player and Manchester United target target Carlos Valleva.

The talented 21-year-old has been impressed with Brighton’s midfield these days, and certainly looks the latest in the long line of massive sales the Seagulls has made.

Man United is pursuing Valeva, but Hazeler now seems confident that Cameroon International will remain for the time being.

For the latest quote from Brighton Manager on the ongoing saga posted to X by trusted Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, see below…

“I’m very, very confident. Valeva will stay with us,” Hazeler said, as quoted in the Romano post.

Can Manchester United sign Brighton’s Carlos Bereba?

It will be interesting to see how this saga develops, but the current indication is that United continue to try out the exciting young defensive midfielder.

Romano himself has posted much about the story. It’s not something we expect from him unless the story has real footing…

While it appears that selling players will be important for MUFC, Baleba is firmly in their vision and whatever Hurzeler says in public, it will certainly be something to see.

Brighton tends to sell stars in the end

Brighton doesn’t want to be pushed away, but they know that their models tend to involve cashing out their best players, usually for big money.

According to a report by BBC Sport, Moises Caiceco went to Chelsea for £115 million, which was the best sale.

Baleba is a similar talent, so if he can’t make a deal right away, he imagines United could compete for him right away.

Brighton fans will hope that he can at least get another season from Valeva before he gets that inevitable big move.
