Tottenham Hotspur declined the offer this summer for Manchester City attacker Savigno.

They want to sign the Brazilian before the summer transfer period closes. The player needs regular game time to solidify his place with the Brazilian national team for the upcoming World Cup. Manchester City is unable to provide him with that platform, and the Spurs’ move may be ideal for him.

Get back with improved offers

According to Fitches, Tottenham is not trying to give up on the player and is ready to raise an offer to get closer to Manchester City’s demands.

The Premier League giants are reportedly supported for the Brazilians at a rate of around £70-80 million. For players who are not guaranteed starters for them, it’s a lot of money. It would be interesting to see if Tottenham is willing to pay. Their first offer was nearly £60 million.

Daniel Levy is unreputable for overpayments and will want to sign players at a reasonable amount. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

Spurs require more quality and depth on the sides, making South America an ideal long-term acquisition. He has the quality that will develop into a top-class player with proper guidance and has been able to justify future investments. It is still unknown if Tottenham is ready to break the bank for him.

Quality additions are needed this season to drive major trophies. They were able to win the UEFA Europa League last season and are trying to build on it. They are looking for a top four place in the Premier League after finishing in the lower half of the league table last season.
