Newcastle United striker Alexander Isaac issued an official statement on his Instagram page, making it very clear that he feels he should be allowed to leave the club.

ISAK has been named the PFA Premier League Team of the Year, and Sweden International confirmed it in his statement.

However, Isaac also took advantage of the opportunity to issue some strong words about how Newcastle treated his future.

Daily Mail and others have widely reported that Isak is a target for Liverpool and he hasn’t made much of an attempt to hide the fact that he wants to get the chance to get this move…

Alexander Isaac’s Instagram Statement

Alexander Isaac’s statement is in full:

“We are proud to be recognized by fellow experts who are in the PFA Premier League team for the 2024/25 season.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank my teammates and everyone at Newcastle United for supporting me along the way.

“I’m not at the ceremony tonight, everything is going on, so it wasn’t right to be there.

“I stayed quiet for a long time while others were talking, and that silence allowed people to push their version of the event, even though they knew they were actually told and agreed to it, even though they knew they were actually told and agreed.

“The reality is that promises have been made and the club has known my position for a long time. Now it’s misleading to act like these issues are emerging.

“When a promise is broken and trust is lost, the relationship cannot last. That’s what it is for me for now. And why change is in the best interests of everyone, not just myself.”

Put pressure on selling to Newcastle

Newcastle certainly doesn’t want a star player like Isaac to leave, but it seems very difficult for them to keep him now.

The 25-year-old, who releases this powerful official statement, only ensures that Liverpool try again for him.

The Reds hope that Newcastle feels like he’s fighting a losing battle over Isaac’s future, and it might be best for them to pull this unfortunate player out of the book.
