Your support will help us tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to big technology, the independence is on the ground when stories develop. Whether you’re researching the finances of Elon Musk’s Pro-Trump PAC, or producing the latest documentary, The Words, we shed light on American women fighting for reproductive rights, but we know how important it is to analyze facts from a message.

At such a crucial moment in American history, we need a reporter on the ground. Your donation allows us to send journalists to continue talking to both sides of the story.

Independents are trusted by Americans throughout the political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans from reports and analytics using paywalls. We believe that quality journalism should be available to everyone who is paid by those who can afford it.

Tour Championship Tips:

  • Scotty Schaeffler wins – 13/8 BET365
  • JJ Spahn finishes in the top 5 – 9/2 Unibet

The top 30 PGA players will be back on Thursday as the tour championship will be held at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia.

There’s been a fresh pressure from two of the three tips from last week’s BMW Championship, and I’m following up with another victory this weekend.

Scotty Schaeffler’s victory made him the highest-ranked American, and Tommy Fleetwood continued his impressive record for a top-10 finish.

On the golf betting site, Schaeffler finishes in a short top 10 of 10, while Fleetwood also has another strong performance odds on.

Schaeffler is an overwhelming favourite for his sixth Tournament of the Year, with Rory McIlroy and Fleetwood also strong contenders for the latest golf betting odds.

The British, who came in fourth in Maryland, now has 163 events on the PGA Tour without a victory, but his recent format suggests he is approaching ending the drought.

He finished second in the Travelers Championship in June and enjoys third and fourth place finishes on his last two outings. Is this finally his time? Winning with a record $40 million wallet is not a bad thing.

Tour Championship Tips: Schaeffler wins again

Schaeffler won at East Lake Golf Club 12 months ago, winning four shots from fellow American Colin Morikawa, while McIlroy won three times on the course.

It’s hard to see beyond Schaeffler, who has become a standout form in 2025, but it seems appropriate for him to finish the top of the field again. The betting site has made him a favorite for him and we tend to agree with the bookie of this.

He leads the rankings in a country mile from McIlroy, but with the format changed this year, there is no advantage in his current position with all players starting the tournament uniformly.

The best performer in the four rounds wins FedExcup and a huge $10 million payment.

Tour Championship Prediction: Spaun ends season

JJ Spaun has been enjoying his career-highest season ever, finishing in the top five in 2025.

He lost two playoffs in the recent FedEx St. Jude Championship, in the loss to Justin Rose, this time finishing 9/2 in the top five.

He placed second in the automatic qualifiers for the Ryder Cup and hopes to close the season with another impressive finish.

Tour Championship Prediction 2: JJ Spaun finishes in the top 5-9/2 Unibet

When placing bets, it is important to practice responsible gambling.

Betting is addictive and it’s important to keep your bet in control. Don’t treat gambling as a way to make money. Don’t bet more than you can afford.
