Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that Nicholas Jackson was on his way out of the club after bringing in two new strikers.
At today’s press conference, Maresca made little effort to hide the fact that Jackson was no longer in his first team’s plans.
Senegal International was not at its best for Chelsea. It’s probably time to offload him and build him around Joan Pedro and Liam Dellup instead.
See below as Maresca now says Jackson won’t be involved in his next Chelsea team.
“He (Jackson) is available, but he will not be part of the team,” Maresca said.
“Like we said, we have two strikers, two players in that position. We also know that something could happen before the window closes.”
Nicholas Jackson sets himself off Chelsea, where is the next one after the Blues striker?
Jackson has shown some promises during Chelsea and could be a decent signature for other Premier League clubs.
It’s not yet known where the 24-year-old will go, but if rumors can be believed, he has a lot of interest in him at this point.
The Telegraph has linked Jackson as a target for Aston Villa manager Unai Emery.
Chelsea upgraded attack
Chelsea need to change their offense this summer and it appears they’ve done a good business.
Pedro and Delap should be Jackson’s upgrades, but with Jamie Gittens and Estevao Willian joining, Jadon Sancho, Joa Felix and Noni Madueke left.
CFC fans hope this will ultimately be a season where they will seriously challenge the Premier League title, but they are still young teams. So it remains to be seen whether they’ve done enough to fill the gaps like Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.
