Manchester United is currently accelerating its contract to sign the “epic” midfielder, according to the report.
I want to sign a midfielder after pulling the plug on Baleba
Carlos Valleva appeared as one of Reuben Amorim’s top targets in the middle, but Man United was set up for a very expensive operation, and Brighton & Hove Albion was very reluctant to sell, pulling out the plug of the deal.
Given that 21 is a good age as a long-term alternative to Casemiro and received high praise from Alan Shearer last season, it’s a shame that Valeva doesn’t seem to be heading towards Old Trafford this summer.
Speaking to Baleva, impressed by Manchester City, Shearer said: “He was absolutely fantastic. He changed tempo and performance with his front paws, defensively. They got three points they deserve.”
That said, there are still many other potential options on the list, and Ineos is considered to be a particularly big fan of Adam Wharton.
However, reports from Spain show that before the transfer deadline, or Seville’s Lucian Agume, another midfielder has appeared as Man United’s preferred target target.
Importantly, Agome is said to be interested in moving into the Premier League, and United are now accelerating their contract and ensuring that another big European club will secure his signature before entering the race.
The 23-year-old has emerged as an ideal addition to Amorim’s midfield. Because his physicality and tactical perception should be comfortable adapting to life in the Premier League.
“Grandest” Agume could be an ideal Baleva alternative
Former Sevilla boss Enrique Sanchez Flores has welcomed the central midfielder in the past and described him as “magnificent”, with all the signs that a Cameroon-born maestro could become an ideal alternative to Valeva.
Most notably, the Seville star has outperformed the Brighton youth over a variety of key defensive metrics over the past year.
Average per 90 | Lucien Agoume | Carlos Valleva |
Tackle | 2.90 | 2.64 |
Intercept | 1.83 | 1.62 |
clearance | 1.96 | 1.48 |
The air won | 1.66 | 1.29 |
Importantly, 13 French U21 International deals also did not beat the bank for around £30 million, but there was a proposal that Brighton aims to receive £115 million from Valleva.
If Man United pursues Agome’s move rather than Brighton’s star, they should leave money to strengthen the other areas of the team, and Amorim may be keen to sign a new goalkeeper who has been receiving widespread criticism after the loss of Arsenal.
