  • Kostas Tsimikas is out of Liverpool
  • Is Tsimica leaving Andfield for a trip to Rome?

Liverpool defender Costas Timika may be ready for a slow move from Anfield, with Roma emerging as a serious candidate for his signature.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, debate is underway between the two clubs over potential loan transactions as Greece’s international ties are close to the exit door before the transfer window closes.

The 29-year-old struggles with regular game times at Merseyside and finds himself sliding further down the pecking order.

Kostas Tsimikas is out of Liverpool

With Milos Kerkez’s summer arrival, Tsimikas is now considered the third-choice left back behind both Hungarian and longtime starter Andrew Robertson. The situation opened the door for European clubs to explore the possibility of signing him.

Rome reportedly has begun consultations with Liverpool over the past few days, hoping to attack the deal that brings Tsimikas to the Italian capital.

Gialorossi is keen to strengthen his team as he prepares for another season to compete in both the Serie A and the Europa League. The source warns that contracts are not easy, but Rome’s intention to make a quick deal is clear.

Tsimikas attracted a lot of interest throughout the summer, with Nottingham Forest, Valencia and Reel all linked to Greek defenders. However, there were no concrete advancements in these clubs.

Reds players are said to be “reliable” because they are an important backup option for Reds.

Italian reports suggest that players themselves can receive the switch, especially given the prospect of playing in strong European competition.

That said, if you move to Studio Olympico, questions remain about the role that Tsimikas plays.

Roman boss Jean Piero Gaspelini currently relies on Angelino as the left back for his first choice. This means that if Twimica joins the club, she may have to settle in a spin or backup position. Still, his experience and versatility could prove valuable in a team that is expected to compete in multiple ways.

For Liverpool, lending Tsimikas will help defenders rebuild their trust and ensure they have a normal few minutes while at the same time reducing team crowds.

On the other hand, for Rome, it represents an opportunity to add depth to key positions, even if the deal proves to be challenging the final decision.
