Manchester United reportedly is monitoring Turkish defender Yusuf Akcicek this summer.
According to a report via SportWitness from the Turkish publication Sabah, Manchester United sent scouts to see the players’ actions last season.
Yusuf Akcicek is a player in demand
The 19-year-old is highly regarded throughout Europe, with multiple clubs keeping an eye on him. The left footed central defender is very good at the ball and very effective in the air. He has all the tools to develop into a perfect defender.
The opportunity to move into the Premier League could be exciting for him. Manchester United is one of the largest clubs in the world. The report claims it could be made available to defenders this summer for a fee of around 20 million euros.
Manchester United certainly has the financial muscles to get the deal done. It would be interesting to see if they decided to make a move for the 19-year-old after scouting him last season.
Akcicek is a future investment
The Turkish Under 19 International has the qualities to thrive in the Premier League and has managed to develop into a key player for Manchester United with proper guidance.
He has the physicality to do well in the Premier League, and he certainly hopes to join a big club soon. Some of the top European clubs are keen on defenders, and Manchester United must try and act quickly if they want to make that deal.
They wouldn’t want to be drawn into the bidding war for the players. The 19-year-old could be a future star for them, and the 20 million euro investment might look like a bargain.
Man United player Amorim had “big plans” so he just decided on his future.
