Ben Shelton and Trinity Rodman.
They revealed they were dating on social media in March. Since their relationship was revealed, they have emerged in great ways for each other, including each other’s matches and social media timelines.
From playful social media trends to their rise as one of the sport’s most talked about couples, here’s how Rodman and Shelton’s relationship evolved:
August 24th: Rodman’s Red Eyes to US Open
When Rodman wins, Shelton does so. Following the Washington Spirit, which defeated Bay FC 3-2 on August 23 at 7pm on August 23, Rodman made an overnight flight from San Francisco to New York to support his boyfriend at the US Open.
After losing in the first round in the straight set, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4, Shelton cried out at Rodman.
“My girlfriend took the red eye from California last night and came here,” Shelton said as the crowd erupted in cheers.

August 3: Supporting each other from afar
After Shelton won his 100th victory with Flavio Koboli at the National Bank Open, Rodman’s victory also fell into his mind.
That same night, Rodman returned to the field from an injury and scored the winning goal in the match to secure a 2-1 victory at Portland Thorns FC.
When asked which moment Shelton highlighted his victory, he answered with Rodman’s goal.
“I think Trinity Rodman is scoring the goal,” Shelton said. “The year anniversary of her incredible goal at the Olympics hasn’t played in 100 days and she got a banger in 15 minutes to come in, especially since (especially) she was emotional.
July 5th: Google’s Eye Post
The honeymoon phase for Rodman and Shelton appears to be far more over. Rodman shared a photo of the couple smiling at each other on Instagram with the caption, “Looking at you with Google eyes.”
July 3rd: Courtside Support
From the start of Shelton’s Wimbledon campaign to his defeat, No. 1 seed Janik Thinner, Rodman, was there. She was a constant courtside presence, sitting with Shelton’s family throughout the five-day run. During the opening round match against Alex Bolt, she approached them and her eyes solidified as the 22-year-old fought in court.

June 5th: “Someone loves me”
After injuring her in April, Mental told ESPN that Rodman “takes time from team activities to manage her back.” That meant more time with Shelton, who had been on the European path for the French Open and Madrid Open.
Rodman posted on Instagram the reels of the adventures and quality time of the couple they spent together in Europe.
May 20th: “I love you”
The couple appeared to be spending the night on Rodman’s 23rd birthday. Shelton posted several two photos on Instagram where he said three big words.
“Happy birthday beautiful girl I love you,” Shelton wrote in caption.
Rodman’s response in the comment? “I’ll luhhh you.”
April 19: Rodman’s first match day appearance
Shelton gained momentum from his victory in Munich at the BMW Open, defeating Borna Gojo, Botic van des Andschulp and Luciano Dadeli to reach the semi-finals against Francisco Serundo.
For just over a month, the couple began their relationship publicly, with Rodman making their debut in Shelton’s Box along with his father and coach Brian Shelton.
Rodman has proven to be a charm of good fortune. This is because Shelton passed 2-6, 7-6, (9-7), and 6-4 to advance to the finals. However, his run ended there with a 6-2, 6-4 loss to Alexander Zverev.
March 27: Rodman calls him “Div”
After Shelton’s Instagram photo dump made the relationship official, Rodman followed up on her own post. In the photo, Shelton’s face is blocked by his baseball cap, which she seals off with a playful caption, writing “Dives.”
March 17: Shelton’s hard launch
As the two were on a date as the secrets were revealed, Shelton posted a dump of photos to fans to get a glimpse into his life. The final photo showed Rodman kissing the cheek. She also commented on the post, saying, “The Shooters were shot.”
“Hard falls,” tennis star Kokogoff also said in a comment.
March 6th: Tiktoc trends for power couples
It all started. Joining the virus trend, Rodman and Shelton have respectively posted a five-second clip about Yorgiana and Glorilla’s “ILBB2.” Each video ends with the line “What’s Up with You” with each other’s names, without revealing their names.
