Daniil Medvedev was fined for his actions in the first round match on Sunday night at the US Open. Medvedev was fined a total of $42,500 for pleading and ‘racket abuse’ between him Fifth loss to Benjamin Bonsey.
The fines deepened Medvedev’s $110,000 revenue for his one-night job. According to ESPN, the Russian player was seeded 13th place for the US Open and received two separate fines. Medvedev punished $30,000 for Sportsmanlike’s actions by tournament referee Jake Garner and $12,500 for racket abuse.

The first incident occurred when the photographer walked to court during the second match point, thinking that the match was over.
