  • Reuben Amorim is under severe pressure at Man United
  • The Red Devils are in a tricky situation again

Manchester United have experienced a memorable defeat against the town of Grimsby, League 2 side.

The Red Devils faced them in the Carabao Cup Wednesday night and headed out to the Lower League side in a surprising penalty.

This is the first United have been knocked out in a cup competition by a fourth-level team.

The results follow in the Premier League results against Arsenal and Fulham.

Reuben Amorim’s team lost the first day to Arsenal and Fulham at Old Trafford, failing to score the first victory of the season after a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage.

Reuben Amorim is under severe pressure at Man United

With just three games in the new season, criticism began to begin against players and managers, completely changing the mood at the club.

After his defeat against Grimsby, Amorim raised doubts about his future at Man United.

He told ITV, as reported by Athletic:

“I think players really spoke loudly about what they want today. Something has to change and we won’t change 22 players again. It’s hard to face everything. You’ll have time to move on to the next game and decide things.”

The fact that he says he has to change something and you can’t change players shows that he can take about his position as a club manager.

Since arriving from the sport, the Portuguese manager has not been able to influence the club.

Not only did his team finish 15th in the Premier League last season, but he also lost the Europa League final against Tottenham, and the start of this season showed that despite spending much of the summer, he hasn’t improved anything with the club.

Amorim completed a year with the club in just over two months and was poor if any progress in that time.

According to our exclusives, Ineos has two alternatives in mind if they decide to plunder Amorim.

The Red Devils will face Burnley in the next Premier League. The two-week international break then gives them time to reflect on the season so far and how they can improve in the future.
