A record-breaking transfer of Alexander Isaac from Newcastle United to Liverpool reportedly approached in the last 24 hours.
As reported by Indikaira Catch off side Last night, the Reds submitted an ISAK UK transfer record offer worth around £130 million.
Swedish International has long been linked to Liverpool, and things seem to be gathering pace now, with Telegraph’s Mike McGrath posting an interesting update this morning.
For McGrath’s post about X, see below: He says the last 24 hours are important as he increasingly expects this record-breaking transfer to pass this weekend.
He said: “The move Alexander Isaac proposed to Liverpool has come close in the last 24 hours, according to sources hoping to receive a record transfer bid for the Premier League over the weekend.”
Alexander Isak’s transfer negotiations at Secret Hotel have been revealed
As reported by Indikaira, this breakthrough follows a lengthy negotiation between PIF and FSG figures.
These talks are positive and are held at several meals in a hotel in a secret location.
This seems to be leading us to a big breakthrough now, and Isaac isn’t far from becoming an even more exciting Liverpool signature this summer.
How does Alexander Isaac fit in Liverpool?
Isak’s arrival will be interesting as it follows the LFC, which brings Hugo Ekitike this summer.
The Frenchman has been shining since joining from Eintrohat Frankfurt, scoring three goals in the first three competitive games on the side of Arne Slots.
However, Liverpool is clearly not planning to spend £130 million on ISAK just to put him on the bench. This means that Ekitike will need to change positions or reduce play time.
It will be interesting to see how this develops as the season progresses, but this could be a slot headache as it appears to keep both Isaac and Ekitique happy.
