Aston Villa is interested in signing West Ham United’s Lucas Paketa before the summer transfer window closes.

According to a BBC report, the two clubs are having their first discussion about the Brazilian package, which totals around £50 million. Aston Villa wants to lend players with the obligation to purchase. The £50 million package includes the loan fee.

Meanwhile, West Ham still wants to retain the 28-year-old Brazilian, but is accepting to join Aston Villa before the transfer deadline on Monday.
