Many players left Leeds during Daniel Fark’s reign as manager, and this season they were able to face one of them.

Many stars left Elland Road this summer, including Junior Furpo, Mateo Joseph and Sam Greenwood. However, the player moving 12 months ago is ready to return to England with another club.

According to Alan Nixon (via Leedsunited.news), West Ham set their sights in the late summer moves of Charlie Creswell, who left Leeds last summer to join Toulouse on the League One side. The 23-year-old, a regular in the UK during the successful U21 Euros in June, has been attracting attention from Liverpool in recent weeks, but he is now ready for a move to London Stadium.

Leeds sold Creswell for just 4.5 million euros last summer, but it is reported that West Ham could pay more than triple that amount if he signed him before the transfer window closes on Monday. Toulouse is particularly reluctant to sell at this later stage, which means it will require a large fee.

If Creswell returns to British football with West Ham, there may be feelings of regret among Leeds supporters. However, their own central defenders were very solid at the start of the new Premier League season, with two clean sheets in two home matches against Everton and Newcastle.

Fark has Pascal Struik and Joe Rodon at his disposal as his first central defensive pairing, as well as signing Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw. In this regard, Leeds doesn’t need Cresswell, but there may still be a slight sense of sadness.
