Saga’s summer is finally over, but it’s hard to know how Newcastle United supporters feel about it.
On the deadline day, Alexander Isaac joined Liverpool, and this marks the UK transfer record, including the reported £125 million fee.
The Swedes have been on strike all summer as they forced this move to Merseyside, skipped the Asian Magpie preseason tour and didn’t appear in the team-named PFA awards for the season.
As a result, Geordie’s loyalists are totally against ISAK and are openly immeasurable to play for the club again, so it’s nice to see him gone despite their team undoubtedly losing the best striker in the Premier League.
Magpies have signed two very expensive strikers to fill his blank, but it’s still not known if they’ll get better, but the astronomical fees paid by all clubs this summer only underscore the fact that Newcastle photographed their talismans.
Newcastle ISAK alternatives
On Saturday, Newcastle announced the signature of striker Nick Urtemade, arriving from Stuttgart with add-ons of up to £4.3 million, in addition to £65 million.
I rarely heard of Wortemade this year last year. Given that he scored two top division goals during the Werder Bremen,
However, the 23-year-old actually burst into the Stuttgart scene, breaking a deadlock against Arminia Bielefeld in the May final, when his team won the competition for the first time since 1997, including 18 in Die Schwaben’s only 36 appearances and scoring in each round for DFB-Pokal.
He then further strengthened his reputation at the Under21 European Championship this summer, earning a hat-trick in the opening match of the German tournament against Slovenia, picking up the Golden Boots in a total of six times as Daiman Shaft lost 3-2 in the final at Bratislava.
Standing at 198 cms (6 feet 6 inches), it is fascinating to see how he is carrying on Tyneside, as he is nicknamed “Woltemessi” for his good touch to a big man.
But that’s not all, as Newcastle also ended up completing the signature of long-term target Joainwissa on the closing day.
The Congo International Dr. himself went to Fluisac at Brentford and refused to play when he asked for a move, but after bids of £25 million and £40 million were rejected earlier this summer, the two clubs agreed to a £55 million fee on Monday.
Wissa left West London as the highest scorer ever in the Premier League, and scored 49 goals in all bees competitions last season in the Premier League.
But at 28, Whissa’s case for £55 million, just signed another striker for around £70 million, further highlighting how proven Newcastle’s charm is.
Newcastle Talisman signed the bargain price
In October 2021, Saudi Arabia’s public investment fund completed the £355 million acquisition of Newcastle United and quickly replaced Steve Bruce with Eddie Howe, they wanted to make a splash in the transfer market.
During that first January window, the Toon army got so caught up in the battle for relegation that it won only one of the first 20 fixtures, so the new owner spent heavily on ensuring the Premier League’s survival.
Four new signatures have arrived, totaling £90 million from Chris Wood, Kieran Trippier, Dan Burn and Bruno Guimarães, the latter becoming the Cult Hero of Tyneside.
So far, Guimarães has made 147 appearances for Magpies, scored 23 goals, registered 24 assists, played an instrumental role in the team that won the EFL Cup last season, and has waited 70 years for the club’s 70 years of domestic silverware.
The table below highlights his importance to Newcastle.

As the tables reinforce, Guimaré is crucial to everything Newcastle achieves. Ranked first on all passing metrics, and on the other side of the pitch, it also generates out-of-postance statistics, tackles, ball recovery, assists and chance creation.
The £40 million paid to Olympic Lyon to secure his signature proved to be a perfect bargain, especially considering his current estimated transfer value is around £69 million.
For comparison, the new signatures of Woltemade and Wissa are valued at around £26 million and £27.6 million respectively, which is significantly lower than the fees Newcastle paid.
His international teammate, Casemiro, is certainly a fan, adding that Guimares is “exceptional” in Newcastle, adding that he is “a great player who has demonstrated this in the most difficult league in the world.”
So now that Isaac has finally left Tyneside, the Brazilian midfielder is ready to step up and become a Newcastle charm, leading Barcelona to the Champions League campaign, the first visitor to St. James Park on September 18th. What a tie.
