  • Wolves were not planning to sell Jorgenstrandlersen
  • Chelsea was trying to find an offensive solution

According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea reportedly made a late attempt to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen forward before the transfer deadline.

Bruce was looking for additional strikers to enhance his offensive options, but contacted the Strandlersen representative to take his 25-year-old to Stamford Bridge on the deadline.

However, the deal did not come true and the club appears to have failed their efforts.

Wolves were not planning to sell Jorgenstrandlersen

The Wolves had previously turned down several approaches from Newcastle for Strandlersen during the summer transfer, but their latest offer reached £55 million.

Under manager Viter Pereira, the club hesitated to sell Norwegian International. Especially since they had already said goodbye to top scorer Maceus Cunha, who moved to Manchester United this summer.

Despite four years remaining on his contract, Strand Larsen’s future became a topic of discussion at the final stage of the transfer period.

Newcastle was one of the clubs most interested in signing him, but it appears they ultimately failed to secure his services.

Chelsea had also made decisions about their players. After being seriously injured in signing Liam Dellup in the summer, the club decided to block Nicholas Jackson’s potential move to Bayern Munich.

However, Jackson was willing to return to Chelsea, which ultimately allowed the club to transfer and turned his attention to other targets.

Chelsea welcomed several new signatures over the summer, including Delap and Joan Pedro.
