There are no boring moments at Tottenham Hotspur. Last year was very confusing, so perhaps we can break it down into a film trilogy.

The Spurs fell into fire after crashing in the Premier League, but in Europe they won the Europa League.

“Season 3 is always better than Season 2,” barked Ange Postecoglou during the trophy celebration in London. Sadly, for the lumpy Australian, he wasn’t long enough to watch season three.

In this case he was killed by Daniel Levy, not literally by the producer. The Spurs boss fired Post Coglu and replaced him with Thomas Frank. Thomas Frank enjoyed and endured the first transfer window of the roller coaster at the helm.

Eberechi Eze and Morgan Gibbs-White? There’s no problem. The Lily Whites landed one of Europe’s most exciting young playmakers in the form of Zabi Simons. The Spurs will also start a new campaign with 9-6 points. Certainly not bad.

But when Tottenham Hotspur is involved, the drama is never far away. Their Champions League team list featured it.

Spurs Champions League Team List for the 2025 League Phase

All the regular faces have created a list of Tottenham teams for the league phase of the Champions League Adventure.

The new signature in the form of Simons and Mohammed Kudus made a cut, but sadly there was no place for James Madison, the club’s long-term injury absentee.

England International has been on sale for a long time and will not be seen again until 2026 after causing damage to the ACL.

However, there were some notable absentees. Yves Bissouma, who was removed from the UEFA Super Cup team due to his lateness to Frank, appears to be about to leave the club in a not too distant future, and his omission from the team list only solidifies it.

Also missing from the team were Kotatakai, Raddragsin and Dejnkrusevsky, who are currently joining Madison at the treatment table.

The most well-known exclusion was Mathys Tel. For a long time, the French have been considered one of Europe’s most exciting young players. He is only 20 years old and has a world at his feet, but it doesn’t seem to me that he has impressed Frank very much.

Tel spent the backend of his 2024/25 campaign on loan in North London, but only scored two goals on 13 Premier League outings. Still, that was enough to convince Levy and Co to jump out and sign the former Bayern Munich genius in a permanent deal.

The Spurs spend £30 million on young people, and at least in the league stage, it’s incredibly awful to think he won’t watch Champions League football for a minute.

It is still unknown how much action Tel is seeing in the country. He’s only featured in the three opening games of the season, with only 19 minutes in total, fighting the fight to stay with Frank’s plan.

It already looks like a huge waste of £30 million, especially if Spurs have many exciting starlets in the book.

Young people who can end Tell’s Spurs career

Hotspur Way Academy has produced a large number of extremely talented players in recent years, especially Mikey Moore.

England Youth International is currently on loan with the Rangers and is aiming to start the Old Farm Derby last Sunday, putting the regular senior football season under his belt.

Moore has already played 21 times for the Spurs first team, scoring once, and was compared to Madison’s Neymar after his final campaign for the European tie.

With so much hype surrounding Moore, it’s easy to forget Willlanksia, the positive of those who held their hands in the success of the Europa League on 25/2024, which is the positive of those who succeeded.

During the run to the finals, Rankscia appeared in three games, even scoring in a 3-2 defeat against Galatasarai in November 2024.

He later endured a rather awful goalless 11 games on loan at West Brom, but he took shape early on at Oxford United in the championship.

So far, Lankshear’s loans in the second tier have been roaring, scoring twice on four league outings.

This is going to be a key campaign for 20-year-olds who have a real chance to make it with Spurs if they run a good campaign in 2025/26.

Richarrison’s stay in the capital has been absent from many games through injuries, attacked and overlooked. Dominique Solanke, the £65 million man, isn’t always enjoying the best time. He hasn’t played for a minute this season thanks to injuries.

Therefore, openings may appear due to rank shears. Rankscia can really hit Tell’s ffin’s final claw.

In a good season, he will score regularly, secure game time at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and could come more at the expense of Tel.

Described as “Harry Kane Ligen” by one in-game scout, his playstyle and height have already achieved similarities with the club’s top scorer.

Alasdair Gold, a reporter for Lily White, who scores 26 goals in 35 games for the Spurs for the Under-21, is another one to give the younger attackers a passionate support in February 2024. “He is a very talented young player.

Certainly a high rating. See if Lankshear continues to develop quickly.
