Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta recently handed over 15-year-old Max Dowman’s Premier League debut, with the boys joining the Emirates’ upcoming star.

The attacking midfielder was charming in a 5-0 defeat with Leeds, and earned a summer penalty for the star signing to Victor Gyoker to throw a home to Victor Gyoker shortly after he became the second youngest Premier League debutant in history.

He is also Arsenal’s second-away professional performer behind Ethan Nuwaneri, and Arteta is also repaying Dowman by rewarding Dowman by choosing him in the final Champions League team in the league phase.

The hype around Dowman is now monumental, with club legend Paul Mason already suggesting that he can be one of the best in the world.

“You don’t want to put too much pressure on that young man, he’s 15,” Marson said last weekend in football.

“But these guys come in once in the Blue Moon. You have to imagine him being 15, he’s still in school and he’s playing in the hardest league in the world and doing this kind of thing.

“Not now. When I was playing, I had to be the best in London. This kid must be the best in the world in his position. This kid is extraordinary.

Douman and Nuwaneri will be able to stock foreseeable future Arsenal offensive midfield options if everything goes to plan, and 18-year-old defender Miles Lewis Skelly also stood out for a prominent rise last season.

The left-back played towards the England squad with great performances both domestically and Europe, pushing established Premier League players like Oleksandr Zinchenko into the pecking order.

Lewis Skelly has also come as a great alternative to Riccardo Calfioli. He was impressed this season, but has struggled with injuries since joining Arsenal from Bologna in the summer of 2024.

In any case, the future looks very bright. Its reputation for producing stellar gems through Arsenal’s Hale End Academy has been strengthened.

Arsenal also brought in some promising talent from elsewhere. That means he invited defender Christian Mosquera on a bargain deal with Valencia in the summer.

Arsenal believes Christian Mosquera could be one of the best in the world

Spain Under 21 International did a solid job of right-backing against Leeds and replacing injured William Saliba with Liverpool. Arsenal was believed to hold Mosquera behind the scenes with very high respect.

Speaking to TBR football, journalist Graeme Bailey said new signature Clown Hincapy is threatened by the age of 21 when it comes to game time, but people inside the club believe Mosquera could be one of the best in the world at Arsenal in a few years.

“He (Hincapee) has the idea that Mosquera is a younger project,” Bailey said.

“They (Arsenal) see him as someone who could potentially be one of the best in the world in three or four years.”

The former La Liga sense has already won serious acclaim from Arteta, and he calls it an “exciting” talent with “huge” potential.

“We are delighted to welcome Christian to Arsenal,” Arteta said.

“As a 21-year-old defender, Christian has already performed consistently with his important experience in Laliga, and he is an intelligent player with a pace that can be played on the centre and on both sides.

“He’s a young player with exciting talent and great potential.”
