Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has made clear about the situation for Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller, who was linked to some of Europe’s biggest clubs during the recently closed transfer period.
Despite rumours of slow approaches and sensational reports involving Real Madrid and Manchester United, Romano has confirmed that Stiller will never approach leaving the Bundesliga side this summer.
According to Romano, Real Madrid has never participated in advanced consultations with players, and despite suggesting that they are not, they have not reached an agreement on personal terms.
Similarly, Man United was not involved in the last minute push to bring the 24-year-old midfielder to Old Trafford.
Stuttgart’s stance and the future of Stiller
Stuttgart had no intention of cashing in Stiller during the window this summer, so instead preferred to keep one of the major midfielders in order to continue building Bundesliga stability.
The German club has been highly regarded and since joining from Hoffenheim in 2023, his performance has made him a central figure in the midfield structure.
However, Romano also emphasized that although transfers are not approaching during this window, the players themselves are accepting to move abroad in the future.
This entry suggests that speculation surrounding his name could resurface in future transfer windows, especially if his development continues in the current trajectory.
Man United has a chance to sign Stiller
For now, Stiller is focusing on Stuttgart. There, they continue to play an important role in the team’s midfield setup. However, given his openness to exploring opportunities outside of Germany, it is possible that European elite clubs will continue to monitor his progress closely.
This summer, United targeted the midfielder move, but they were unable to sign any player in that position.
Brighton’s Carlos Valleva is another player targeted by the Red Devils, but he was unable to convince Brighton to sell the player.
