  • William Saliba is set to miss out on Arsenal’s important game
  • The gunner has a deeper defensive position

Arsenal was hit hard like the new season gained momentum.

William Saliba started the game markedly, maintaining his spinning ankle during his pre-match warm-up at Anfield prior to his clash with Liverpool.

According to a report from L’équipe, the injury could put the French centre-back aside for three to four weeks and keep him out until after an international break in October.

This not only dominates him from France’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Iceland in early October, but also a punishment schedule for seven important matches for Arsenal in the Premier League, Champions League and the Carabao Cup as a whole.

These supplies include:

Champions League Athletic Bilbao (Away)
Manchester City in Emirates
Carabao Cup Third Round Tie vs Portvale
Newcastle United Away
European Olympiacos (home)
West Ham United at home

Saliba is a defensive lynchpin for both Arsenal and France, and his absence is already in the midst of a troublesome injury crisis, including Martin Ødegaard, Bukayosaka, Kai Hubbert, Christian Norgaard, Ben White and long-term absent Gabriel Jesus.

Despite the set-up, Arsenal has options. The Summer Signer, who replaced Saliba with Liverpool, will be replaced by Liverpool, delivering a configured performance, and is expected to be featured in large numbers in his absence.

Piero Hincapié, a deadline arrival, and the versatile Riccardo Calafiori, who can enter the central defense, will also enhance the options.
