Rio Ferdinand played with Bebe, but he named the “worst teammate”

Rio Ferdinand may have been a teammate with a Manchester United player who was knocked out from the first round of the Carabao Cup by League 2 Grimsby, but he still shared the dressing room with someone who was irritated.

Of course, some say things like Anderson and Bebe aren’t bad options to rely on these days when compared to Reuben Amorim’s current team. But the reality is that under Irish Alex Ferguson, both players were not meeting the incredibly high standards set by Ferdinand.

Bebe moved quickly at Manchester United, but the slow burns from one of Anderson’s world’s best young players to forgotten stars are often annoyed Ferdinand.

The former centre-back said when the five of them spoke: “Anderson was a player who sometimes irritated me, and this kid won a golden boy.

“The kids weren’t talented, but we have a WhatsApp group we always talk about. He gets hammered. We always appreciate his abilities, but I’m frustrated that we couldn’t apply ourselves to him as he has.

It goes without saying that there were many things to forget alongside Anderson and Bebe. In the middle of a successful dressing room, Diego Foran couldn’t live up to the hype – scoring just 17 goals in 98 appearances.

However, as unfortunate as Oarlan and Anderson, as poor as Bebe, Ferdinand decides to name the unexpected Manchester United legend his “bad teammate.”

Ferdinand calls Rooney “worst teammate.”

Of all the transfer flops that came and went, it was Wayne Rooney who won the crown as Ferdinand’s worst teammate. Somehow, in one way or another, the man with the most goals in Manchester United history has found himself with unnecessary titles. However, Ferdinand has his reason as the defender revealed to the Seven Meat Podcast in 2023.

“My worst teammate would have been the most arguing with Wayne Rooney, to be honest with you. I’ve never been hit with one hit. We really never discussed in training. It was just a game day, we screamed at each other as we wanted more from him, once every two or three games.

“I knew what he was good at and I knew he could do more. I want him to be more effective or something. The biggest thing for me at Wayne is that he wanted to pass 30 or 40 yards like Paul Shoals.

Manchester United dressing rooms were never shy when it came to airing their complaints. Perhaps that’s why they proved so successful. Although David Beckham and certain football boots have something to say about it.
