  • Newcastle United prepares to face Wolverhampton Wanderers
  • Newcastle United will be taking part in the race for Adam Wharton January’s contract

Newcastle United has established itself as a market-based force, allowing it to be attacked internationally in January.

Newcastle United prepares to face Wolverhampton Wanderers

After a chaotic end to the transfer window, Eddie Howe welcomed the calmness of an international break and the opportunity to tweak his tactical ideas before Wolverhampton Wanderers traveled northeast this weekend.

Without putting too much of a great point, the controversy over Alexander Isaac’s move to Liverpool has been circulating over the past few months, but Dan Byrne claims that everything will remain in the past as he is no longer in Newcastle’s books.

He told BBC Sports: “We are extremely protective of the club and the city and want players who want to play for Newcastle to be there. We don’t want them to think naively that there are others out of Newcastle, we understand why fans are getting frustrated.

“I’m glad I did that. We wanted to make the windows a little clearer. Alex is a mate, and I have only good wishes. There’s no hostility. I hope Alex is the best, aside from playing Liverpool.”

Looking forward to the January window, Newcastle wants to trigger a release clause of athletic club defender Dani Vivian £34.6 million, but we look forward to whether Joainwissa and Nick Waltemed will be able to make their debut this weekend.

The PIF will not thwart their mission to complete a big-money deal despite competition from their Premier League rivals. They may be trying to deal with that mantra in recent developments.

Newcastle United will be taking part in the race for Adam Wharton January’s contract

According to TeamTalk, Newcastle took part in a race to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton as England International continues to be impressed with its performance at Selhurst Park.

Manchester United and Liverpool are also enthusiastic about the former Blackburn Rovers star, who is said to be valued at around £60 million by Oliver Glasner after the Eagles refused to make progress from the Red Devils and attempted to land a prize during the summer window.

Howe says he personally sees Wharton as “an ideal fit to complement something like Bruno Guimares, offering both defensive solidity and creative sparks.”

Labeled as “outstanding” by Alan Shearer, Wharton played a deep midfield role for Crystal Palace, registering six assists in 49 appearances in all competitions.

With the 2024/25 campaign set the tempo and his side won the FA Cup, the 21-year-old continued his fantastic show this season, earning 79 successful passes in the Premier League on every Fotmob.

The Eagles are unlikely to let Wharton leave in January, but the 2026 summer sale could be on the cards, and Newcastle hopes to be in front of the queue to avoid missing out on the luxury homemade talent.
