Arsenal had a busy summer 2025 transfer window, but they struggled to secure enough funding from sales. If Gabriel Martinelli had left, their efforts would have been helped, but that could not be realized.

Many clubs, including Saudi Arabia, have expressed interest in Martinelli, who has launched two of Arsenal’s three Premier League matches. Brazilian International remained in northern London, but it may have been possible to move to Germany.

Speaking on their YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Bayern Munich had tried to sign Martinelli in the summer, but Arsenal wasn’t ready to sanction the deal at the price the Bundesliga had hoped for.

“The other player Bayern considered in the winger position is Gabriel Martinelli. Bayern also spoke to Martinelli’s agent. It was a positive conversation, but Martinelli was very pleased with Arsenal, and Arsenal was not intending to accept EUR 35 million, nearly 30 million.

“It’s more valuable to the players for them, and this is why negotiations never progress. But Martinelli was a serious target for Bayern at the beginning of the summer transfer period. And again, it didn’t evolve for financial reasons and for Martinelli’s comfort at Arsenal.”

Bayern tried to sign many leftists in the summer, and at the end they settled in Louis Diaz in Liverpool. He moved to Allianz Arena in July.

Martinelli faces a very important season for Arsenal’s career as he could move into 2026 if his struggle continues. AC Milan is interested in getting services in January, but in the right circumstances for Londoners, they will need to make a deal.
