Chelsea issues response to FA statement
Minutes after the announcement of the FA, Chelsea issued its own statement on their website, confirming that the violation came after reporting itself on the issue.
“Chelsea FC has confirmed that it has now reached conclusions on FA engagement on issues self-reported by the club.
“The Club Ownership Group completed the club purchase on May 30, 2022. During the thorough due diligence process prior to completion of the purchase, the Ownership Group recognized potentially incomplete financial reports regarding historic transactions of the FA Rules and other potential violations.
“The club demonstrated unprecedented transparency during this process, which provides comprehensive access to club files and historical data. We hope to work with the FA to conclude this issue as quickly as possible.
It is still unknown what the FA has achieved. In this study, the study concerns Chelsea, who recently received news about Liam Delap’s hamstring injuries.
