Liverpool manager Arne Slot spoke about the great work of the club’s recruitment team over Alexander Isak’s transfer contract.

Swedish International joined Liverpool from Newcastle United at the end of the transfer window on a UK record deal.

Isak established himself as one of the very best strikers in Europe during his time at St. James Park. He should be a very exciting addition to the slot team.

Speaking at today’s press conference, the Dutch tactician gave great credit to Richard Hughes and other important LFC chiefs, able to complete such an ambitious signature in the summer.

As Fabrizio Romano quoted in the X post below, Slot states: “What pleases me the most is that we have a contract from Isaac: Richard, ownership, everyone worked so hard to get that deal done.

Liverpool fans will be itchy to see Isak making his debut for the club, but slots’ words probably suggest that this weekend isn’t necessarily coming.

The Reds will win Burnley in their next Premier League match, but Isaac may have to make it in time for the bench first.

Even if a 25-year-old is a player like the player that the team needs right away, it’s also unlikely that he’ll be a perfect match.

As we know, Isaac posted Newcastle’s pre-season preparations and the first few games of the new season, so he needs a bit more time before he can speed up completely and put his best in the Liverpool shirt.
