Liverpool has taken part in so many races to sign Mark Guech, who only missed out on getting his services over the summer. However, it’s not easy for the Crystal Palace captain to visit Anfield in 2026.

Guehi is not expected to sign a new contract at Selhurst Park. This means he will become a free agent next summer. Liverpool knows this very well, but so does Man City. In addition to this, Bayern Munich is also recognized as having an interest.

Despite this, Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider that he believes Liverpool is a solid favorite for them to sign Guehi.

“If Guehi runs through his contract and becomes a free agent, it could be an open race for him. It depends on who offers him the best deal.

“It appears Liverpool will wait until next summer and will quit because they have a contract to sign him in the summer before the deal ends.

“It’s an open race as things stand, but Liverpool has already made some of their efforts.

It will be very interesting to see where Guehi will end next summer.
