  • Kieran McKenna is linked to West Ham
  • Hammers are currently in a difficult situation

Recent rumors linking Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna with the manager’s vacancies at West Ham United have sparked a lot of speculation, but as things stand, many believe he’s unlikely to get into a job.

West Ham United are in the Premier League relegation zone after a disastrous start to the Premier League campaign.

They are being asked about manager Graham Potter and his future at London Stadium.

Hammer is currently 18th in the league, earning just three points from the first four Premier League matches of the season.

Kieran McKenna is linked to West Ham

McKenna is the latest name to link to West Ham’s job after reports emerged that recently fired Nuno Espirito Santo is also one of the options for this job.

The whispers have been particularly loud for the past 24 hours, suggesting that McKenna has attended West Ham’s heavy defeat at Tottenham Hotspur as a guest on the London Stadium board.

The former West Ham player spoke to Claret & Hugh about the possibility that McKenna could replace Potter at London Stadium.

He states: “McKenna doesn’t go near West Ham’s job like things. He has a good reputation and the club is confused behind the scenes. He’s angry to go there.”

“Many people are interested in their work, but any young coach will find it difficult to intervene behind the scenes with the owner.”

If someone in McKenna’s caliber is reportedly willing to convey opportunities, then the off-field challenges of the club suggest that the role has a serious impact on how attractive the talent of top management is.

If West Ham moves forward with ambitions and moves towards stability, success or consistency, they may need to offer more than just a big name. They may need to show reliable signs of internal consistency and trust.

The club’s hierarchy still adheres to its faith in Potter, but it can change quickly, with even worse results.

The next few weeks will be important for Potter and Hammer to determine the trajectory of the season.
