A week before the Ryder Cup arrived in New York for the first time in 30 years, the PGA of America announced three more major championships at the Empire State through 2035.

The KPMG Women’s PGA was played in Bethpage Black’s Black Course in 2028, and the PGA Championship will be heading to Bethpage Black for the second time in 2033.

The PGA of America said the PGA Championship will return to Oak Hill near Rochester for the fifth time in 2035.

The Ryder Cup will begin on September 26th at Beth Page Black, a Beef Public Course on Long Island. Bethpage Black previously hosted US Open in 2002 and 2009.

The Women’s PGA has been run jointly by the PGA of America and the LPGA Tour since 2015, when the second-oldest major in women’s golf was significantly upgraded. It replaced Rochust Glove and regular LPGA events held in Monroe’s Rochester area. However, since 2015, he has not returned to New York under the tournament structure at Westchester.

“Introducing the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship to Bethpage Black is an important milestone and reflects our commitment to stage this event on premier courses in key markets,” said Don Rea Jr., who serves a two-year term as the PGA for the US President.

Since the PGA of America collaborated with the LPGA, the women’s PGA has gone to eight courses that previously hosted majors, including Baltusrol in New Jersey, Olympia Field south of Chicago, Hazeltin in Minnesota, and Congress from the country’s capital.

“The venue is important,” said Craig Kessler, LPGA Commissioner. “They elevate our athletes and amplify the moments that define our game.”

Brooks Koepka has won the past two PGA Championships in New York. He won Bethpage Black in 2019 and Oak Hill in 2023.

The PGA Championship moved from 2019 to August to May, allowing us to escape the frigid weather at Bethpage Black in 2019 and Oak Hill in 2023, but the first round at Oak Hill was delayed.

New York will open the US in Cinecock Hills next year, and the Western Golf Association will bring the BMW Championship (FedEx Cup Playoff Event on the PGA Tour) to Liberty National in New Jersey in 2027.

The PGA Tour stopped going to New York metropolitan areas in 2021, when it lost the title sponsor that spindled its first postseason event between New York and Boston.

The Ryder Cup, hoping for a large crowd of Beth Page Black, was in New York in Oak Hill in 1995. Europe won.
