Mickey Van de Ben has been linked to a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur in recent months.
The Netherlands International has been outstanding since joining the club, and it’s no surprise that the top team is eager to sign him. Van des Ben is also linked to Real Madrid.
Spurs are focusing on the Van de Ven Extension
According to a report by Boy Hotspur, Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in signing the 24-year-old Central Defender.
Tottenham is eager to keep him at the club in the long run, and they are ready to offer him a premium wage to persuade him to sign and deal. They are ready to double his current salary. It remains to be seen whether the defender is ready to commit his long-term future to the club.
Spurs wants to double their weekly wages from £50,000 to £100,000.
Liverpool and Chelsea want Mickey Van De Ben
He is definitely a key player for Tottenham. He is currently one of the best defenders in the Premier League. Liverpool can certainly use someone like him. Ibrahima Conate is able to quickly leave the club to a free transfer, and Joe Gomez is struggling with persistent injuries. It will be interesting to see if the Reds can persuade the Spurs to sell their players to them.
Similarly, Chelsea need to improve defensively. Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi upgrades are required. Players like Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana also suffer from injuries issues.
Both teams can use high quality defenders like Van de Ven. It will be interesting to see if the player is enthusiastic about moving. They could provide him with a platform to fight for major trophies. Tottenham recently won the UEFA Europa League, but it’s not at the level necessary to win the Champions League or Premier League. It’s not a surprise if the defenders are seduced to go ahead and join the elite club.
