Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo fought back against the suggestion that this current team was too young and inexperienced to deal with the big opportunity for a Champions League match to Bayern Munich.
The 27-year-old is one of the older players on the Chelsea team, but he is also one of many who have not played much in competitions for top European clubs.
Certainly, Chelsea seemed a bit shocked at the Allianz Arena. Bayern felt it was very easy to punish some sloppy mistakes in a 3-1 victory for the Bundesliga giants.
However, Adarabioyo spoke with mixed zone reporters after the match and clearly made the issue that age grew as a concern.

Adarabioyo pointed out the club’s success at the summer Club World Cup, which insisted that age “has nothing to do with it.”

Chelsea also won the European Conference League last season, but it appeared to have levelled at the Club World Cup by beating current European champion Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final.
Adarabioyo probably would be a bit simpler to refer to the younger team at Enzo Maresca’s disposal in that case.
The CFC were previously underdogs in this competition, winning both in 2012 and 2021 when there were few people they had hoped for. So this team can bounce off this defeat and create something similar.
