Liverpool paid large sums to Alexander Isaac and Hugo Ekicchike during the summer transfer period.

There was speculation that the two players would join partnership this season. They are extremely talented players with the quality to improve most teams in the division, and neither would want to sit on the bench. It remains to be seen whether manager Arne Slot will be willing to use them together for Liverpool this season.

Speaking to the media before Everton’s match, Slot confirmed that Liverpool may need to use them in a 4-4-2 formation depending on injuries and availability. He also suggests that the ekitike can act as the front left side.

Ekitike and Isak’s Arne Slot play together on the front line. “Hugo can also be played from the left, unlike how Cody (Gakpo) or Rio (Ngumoha) does this.

Using two players together could be a bit of a tactical gamble for Liverpool. They have been extremely vulnerable defensively this season and have already acknowledged a considerable number of goals. With two strikers deployed, they can remain exposed even more defensively and midfield.

However, the two players are extremely talented and can make a big difference in the final third if they can combine well. They formed a deadly partnership and were able to turn Liverpool into an unstoppable offensive unit.
