Graham Potter has been under a lot of pressure as West Ham manager following the difficult start of the 2025-26 season. Many candidates have been linked to replacing him at London Stadium, one of which is Frank Lampard.
Lampard has had a great time since taking over at the championship side of Coventry, but he is now able to return to the Premier League with West Ham.
Frank Lampard is unlikely to become the next manager at West Ham
But Pete O’Rourke now tells Football Insider that it’s unlikely that West Ham would see Lampard as an option to take over Potter.
“West Ham does his homework on Potter’s potential management alternatives, and he has had a connection with Lampard.
“If West Ham decides to pull the trigger on Potter and look for changes, then it’s another big issue and you need to find someone who can taste the fan base right now. Potter couldn’t do that, so you’re protesting. Board.”
It will be interesting to see if Potter can turn things around in West Ham, but things seem bleak right now. It is said that something like Nuno Espirito Santo is on their candidate list, so changes can change to cards faster than they are late.
