  • Tottenham is about to sign a new midfielder
  • Yarmolyuk could be a solid Bizma alternative

Tottenham Hotspur is currently fighting Manchester United for the “fantastic” midfielder’s signature. Thomas Frank is personally enthusiastic.

Tottenham is about to sign a new midfielder

It has been revealed that Tottenham is eager to bring in a new central midfielder during the January transfer period, identify various targets and sign Athletic Bilbao’s Oyhan Sunset, which is considered a priority.

The need to sign a new central midfielder could be exacerbated by the potential departure of Ibez Vizma, and it has recently been revealed that Mali International was offered twice to West Ham United during the January transfer period.

However, it is still unclear whether Bissouma will leave Spurs. Frank makes it clear that he still has the opportunity to return to his plans. “To be fair, he’s just starting to run outside so he’s not part of the group, but everything I saw when I greet him and said a player every day, he seems good.

“There’s absolutely no harsh emotions. It wasn’t like this before, not now, not at all. They’re well trained and everyone has the opportunity.”

Anyway, Tottenham has begun identifying central midfield targets before the January transfer period, and team talks reveal that Brentford’s Yehor Yarmoliuk is currently intriguing, and Frank is personally eager to reunite.

But Manchester United are also eager to sign, which could be £30 million, claiming sales are off the table during the January transfer period.

Frank also took the time to praise his former players in the past, saying: “(Yarmoluk) has a great way of thinking and trains me well every day.”

Yarmolyuk could be a solid Bizma alternative

With Bissouma’s future still in the air, it’s not surprising that Tottenham is identifying the central midfielder as a potential target. Given his defensive capabilities, the Brentford star could be a similar replacement.

Compared to other midfielders, 21-year-olds are tackles per 90 people, 94th percentile tackles and 94th percentile locations over the past year.

The Ukrainian also established himself as a regular on the first team at Brentford, suggesting he has made 63 appearances over the past three seasons.

There is clearly a lot of potential for Yarmoliuk, and given that he is only 21 years old, £30 million seems to be a rather reasonable fee for his service.
