Farmingdale, NY – We’re nearing the start of the 2025 Ryder Cup.

Tuesday ended at Beth Page Black, the site for the 45th biennial match between counterparts from the US and Europe. Fans were on the scene for the first time, continuing to prepare ahead of Friday’s opening session, chasing 24 players around the property throughout the morning and afternoon.

It was also the first time a player had spoken to a member of the media. Both captains spoke, but six members of the US also spoke for the first time this week.

Check out some of the best quotes from Team USA on Tuesday for the 2025 Ryder Cup.

Best Team USA Quotes from Tuesday in the Ryder Cup

JJ Spaun Self-belief

Definitely more confident. As long as you try to achieve certain things or put limits on yourself, you put a lot of pressure on yourself. I just tried to let go as much as possible.

When I gave birth to my first daughter, I think her favorite song was “Let It Go.” And I’m sure you hear about it spreading hundreds of times every day. I just tried to go with that mantra.

Fan Justin Thomas

Champion, I don’t know how Europeans do it. To be honest, it’s really impressive. I’m not sure if there’s a text like a group that has just come up with these things, but they’re so wonderful and impressive.

I don’t know, I think it’s obviously the history of golf, it’s deeper – it’s very different. That’s the same final goal, right? Obviously they’re very excited. Just as European fans are excited to cheer for Europe, American fans are extremely excited to cheer for us.

Our daughter’s name was Molly and the number of times I thrust Tommy Fleetwood’s hymns into my head found Jill and I singing Molly along Tommy’s song.

There are a lot of them and I have a lot of respect for European fans just as much as American fans. That’s what makes these weeks very special.

Keegan Bradley of Bryson Deccanbeau

Bryson thinks it’s difficult for him to come to those who aren’t full of PGA Tour players, but he did the exceptional job of making the extra effort, flying to Napa, flying to Atlanta, doing really difficult things with the schedule he has. He made every effort possible and was incredible in the team room.

I think Bryson is an X-factor for our team just because of his golf ability, but I think he’s a really fiery player. When you come to the Ryder Cup, you don’t want to be something they aren’t. We have a lot of calm and mellow people, so we need energy from Bryson. He brings it to the competition every day, in the actual rounds, in the team room, and hopefully in tournament competition.

Bradley on Donald Trump’s appearance on Friday

We are deeply honored that the President of the United States will support our team in the Ryder Cup. I think it’s pretty amazing at any time that you’re around the current president, but when you represent your country in a place like Beth Page Black in New York, it’s absolutely incredible to have a president there to support you. I am so grateful to him for doing that for us.

Xander Schaufele, his father

That’s amazing. There was a child. He was born on August 29th to Little Man. His name is Victor. That’s my middle name. No, I didn’t name him after Viktor Hovland. Before Victor was born I was Victor Way.

That’s amazing. I think I’m very fortunate to have a wife. She is now home with him. i miss him. I had to tear the band-aid when I left the house. I had to kiss him on the forehead and go out before I could start staring at him. It was cool to learn what it was like to be a dad. I look forward to everything that comes with it.

On the golf side, he clearly has him and is trying to become a good teammate for my wife. That’s because we can all do it quickly. After these two days, it feels like they’re playing surprisingly well. When I came out I surprised myself.

Getting some texts from the Captain was interesting, and hey, how are you? Because I couldn’t make Napa. However, although I had limited sleep, it was good to prepare at home with something much more clear than the seasons.

Russell Henry has finally formed a team

I didn’t know – I always believed I could. I didn’t know if that would happen. Last year, I remember getting a nod from Captain Jim (Furic) at that time at the Tour Championships. I remember the realization of all the hard work I put into creating a team.

During the years like the last six or so years I actually worked, I had a goal and I wanted it to happen, but you never know. Ah, I wasn’t going to make it.
