Manchester United manager Reuben Amorim only signed Patrick Dolgue last January, but his future may already be questionable as Inter Milan’s Federico DiMarco becomes a target.
The Red Devils seem to be already preparing to make changes on the left side of it, and DiMarco looks like it could be a clear upgrade to wingback Dolgue.
Amorim’s system relies heavily on good wide players who can move up and down sides to help defend and attack, and it’s fair to say Dolg is a bit disappointed so far.
Danish International was highly regarded at his former club Rek, but according to Fichejes, United is said to be watching Di Marco for the role.
Federico DiMarco’s move to Manchester United could be something to watch in January
Perhaps it seems a bit harsh to not give Dolg time to settle down and develop his game, but Amorim is not the one who can afford to bring unity back to his best.
So Dimarco could be a better off-the-shelf option on left-wing backs, and Dorgu is probably a future option.
It will be interesting to see how this story develops, but the 27-year-old is great for Inter and wouldn’t be too surprised if he struggled to hold onto him.
United need another powerful transfer window
United have made many changes this summer, signing new goalkeepers at Senne Runmen and new front 3 with Benjamin Sesco, Matthews Cunha and Brian Mbeumo.
Still, this team is clearly still lacking in some areas, and Amorim can do well to try and bring Dolg upgrades along as quickly as possible.
DiMarco is with the best people in Europe in his position, and it is certainly exciting for MUFC fans to welcome Italian International to the club this winter.
