Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly considering the surprising moves of Liverpool defender Ibrahima Conate.

The 26-year-old defender became a free agent in the summer and he has yet to sign an extension with Liverpool. According to TBR Football, Liverpool is confident in extending his contract, but they expect great interest in the players.

Meanwhile, the report also claims that intermediaries are informing clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City that defenders could be made available free of charge next summer. It will be interesting to see if the club has decided to contact potential moves.

I’m also interested in Real Madrid and Conate.

Liverpool wants Ibrahi Maconate extension

Graeme Bailey said in TBR Football:

“But Richard Hughes faced off the finest in Europe this summer, bringing in Isaac, Kerquez and Ekitique and others. Liverpool isn’t afraid of anyone on the pitch or off.

“But Konate realizes that it’s not just Madrid or Munich that’s trying to make an offer to him, but I accept that. If someone like Chelsea can use it for free, why not make an offer?

The 26-year-old French International is certainly one of the best defenders in the league, and he could prove to be an exceptional acquisition. Arsenal has plenty of stock in the defensive forces, but he doesn’t want to miss out on top players like him. Konate could prove to be an upgrade to Gabriel Magalhaes.

Chelsea, on the other hand, looked very vulnerable defensively and must be tightened backwards. Liverpool stars help them improve very much. It remains to be seen whether they have decided to make a move for him or not.

The player was at the peak of his career and he consistently showed his quality in the Premier League. If he joined the club, he could have made an immediate impact. Konate is named “Fantastic Player” by Virgil Van Dijk.

Similarly, Manchester City needs defensive depth. Conate could form a tremendous partnership with Reuben Diaz, the heart of their defense. Signing someone like him can turn them into real title contenders again.
