Arsenal issued an emotional statement in honor of former player Billy Vigar, who died tragically at the age of 21.

The former gunner young man spent some time at the club’s academy and suffered serious brain damage during a recent match at Chichester City FC.

Vigar crashed into a brick wall on the side of the pitch and had to be taken to the hospital.

Arsenal has now posted the news on their official website and issued a sincere statement about the former gunner.

Vigar has been with the club since he was 14 years old, with some of his former teammates on the youth team still in the Emirates Stadium book.

“Everyone at the Arsenal Football Club has been extremely sorry to hear the tragic passage of Chichester City forward and former Arsenal Academy player Billy Vigar,” read the statement on the club’s official website.

“As well as his important talent, Billy is always remembered for his love of the game, his pride in representing our football club. He was once known as the “most important of his life” by our scouts and a beloved character by his teammates and coaches.

“In this extremely difficult time, our deepest condolences will be going out to the Vigars and many of his friends.”

Vigar wasn’t the biggest name for most Arsenal fans, but there’s a lot of sadness within the fanbase about this news.

Above all, it’s always painful to hear about someone young enough to die in such a horrible accident.
