  • Spurs are about to sign a new advance after a disappointing draw
  • “Special” Rayan could become a future star

Tottenham Hotspur is currently planning to submit an opening offer for a “special” advancement as he sent scouts over the weekend to see him while he was acting.

Spurs are about to sign a new advance after a disappointing draw

Thomas Frank got off to a solid start as Tottenham boss, but he ended up with a 1-0 loss at home to AFC Bournemouth at the end of August, bringing in a few worries and approaching another loss on Saturday afternoon.

Heading into the game, the Wolverhampton Wanderers were the only side to score points in the Premier League, but they took all three against the Spurs, with the late Joan Pargigna’s goal avoiding a draw for the hosts.

It’s a game that lacks many real opportunities, with Frank’s side recording an xg of just 0.91.

This is according to a report from Brazil (via sports witness), where Tottenham is expected to open a bid in the £25.7 million region for Vasco da Gama Forward Rayan, who sent a scout to watch him over the weekend.

Zenit St Petersburg is also enthusiastic about the 19-year-old, and the Russian side has already submitted their offers, so the Spurs may need to move quickly to win the race for his signature.

Teenagers are said to be 1V1 wingers who can play with both wings. This suggests that he could be a viable alternative for Sabigno, who plans to extend his Manchester City contract until 2031.

“Special” Rayan could become a future star

Celebrated as “Special” by Vasco Da Gama manager Fernando Diniz, the starlet has already established himself as a key player on the Brazilian side, making 83 appearances in all competitions, earning 15 goals and two assists in between.

Dinis isn’t the only admirer of the youth either, and scout Ben Matinson praised the Brazilian for his finishing ability about a year ago.

After missing out on Sabigno, Tottenham was unable to bring in another out-and-out winger during the summer transfer period, so it makes sense to explore alternative options moves this January.

While signing Rayan is a risk given that he hasn’t been proven outside of Brazil, the Rio de Janeiro-born forward clearly has a lot of potential, and the £25 million region fee could be a bargain in the long run.
