Liverpool encouraged attackers who scored this week to bid £100 million

  • Liverpool spent a lot of time during the summer transfer period
  • Red has enough firepower to attack

Liverpool may just have completed one of the busiest and most expensive transfer windows in Premier League history, but the rumored factory has shown no signs of slowing down.

Following the record-breaking deal between Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, it suggests that Reds have considered the possibility of signing Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid.

However, this move seems highly unlikely as Spanish clubs value Argentina International for over £100 million.

The Merseyside giants spent more than £420 million this summer, strengthening Arneslot’s team with an additional marquee across the pitch.

Liverpool spent a lot of time during the summer transfer period

Isak’s £125 million arrival has been headlined as the most expensive Premier League deal to date, but Hugo Ekitike joined in to add more firepower ahead of time.

Alvarez, who played previously for Manchester City before switching to Spain, has become a key figure for Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid. With the contract running until 2030, the Argentine forward is considered out of control unless a truly extraordinary bid is made.

The attackers scored a free kick against Atletico Madrid’s Real Madrid in a 5-2 victory on Saturday.

Football Insider reports that Atletico will only consider negotiations if offers arrive over £100 million. Liverpool is reluctant to pay after recent spending.

Pete O’Rourke, a soccer insider correspondent, said:

“It would be surprising that Liverpool pursued Alvarez’s move. He was on their list, but that was before they signed Isaac.

“Obviously they also have ekitike. It already brought two forwards to bolster the offense.

“It looks like a really difficult transaction now because of the finances involved.

“Atletico Madrid doesn’t want to lose Julian Alvarez either. He is the real key on Diego Simeone’s part.

“He’s on a contract at Metropolitano until 2030. It’s a big price to even consider selling him. He’s probably looking at the £100 million mark.”

Alvarez’s name continues to spread in connection with Liverpool, but the reality is that there is no trade under current circumstances.

Atletico Madrid’s lofty rating and Liverpool’s recent transfer spread have made such a move financially unrealistic.

For now, Alvarez is not a true target, not a dream target, not a dream target, so he integrates the expensive summer signatures and allows Arne Slot’s side to pose serious challenges in all respects.
