Florian Wirtz has had a difficult time since joining Liverpool, but he has not been able to produce a strong performance for them.

German International has been heavily criticised for his performance, and it will be interesting to see if he can go back strongly and live up to expectations.

Wirtz was considered a world-class talent during his time in Germany, but he still couldn’t hit these levels in the Premier League. However, former German international Rudy Voller has no concerns about the talented young playmaker. He believes Wirtz will ultimately prove his doubts wrong.

“We’ve been working hard to get into the world,” said Voller (H/T SportWitness).

“Florian plays in a new league and a new club. These are normal adjustment issues. Almost every expert has. With his running and playing ability, he’s definitely going to make a breakthrough.”

Liverpool certainly hopes he can hit top form again. He, along with Mohamed Sarah, was a major source of creativity, and his mediocre performance had a negative impact on the team. They need him to step up and deliver now.

They pay a fair amount of money to the Germans, and of course he is under a lot of pressure. His expectations are high, but he has yet to produce goals and assists for his Premier League team.

The midfielder is desperate to return to his peak format as well. He has shown his quality in the Bundesliga and he will be confident in making his mark in the Premier League as well.

Liverpool will likely need to be patient with the player and use him in a system that maximizes his attributes.
