Brazilian midfielder Philip Coutinho appears to be enjoying football again.

The midfielder struggled to get to Aston Villa and he returned to his hometown with Vasco da Gama. The 32-year-old plays with them regularly, earning 11 goals and four assists in 2025.

Philip Coutinho revives his career

The midfielder has been in a difficult period in his career since leaving Liverpool. He never established himself as a key player in Barcelona or Bayern Munich. He returned to the Premier League with Aston Villa, but the move didn’t work either. However, the exit from the British club appears to have helped him revive his career, according to Koleoda Manha.

He now hopes to continue playing at a high level in Brazil. The player is on the Twilight stage of his career, and he wants to enjoy his football for the rest of his year.

He was considered a world class player during his time at Liverpool, but he never could reach those heights again in his career. You need to wonder if he should have stayed in Liverpool and fulfilled his potential with them.

Meanwhile, he was paying premium wages at Aston Villa, and they would be pleased that they had driven him away. The move didn’t work for them either, and they were stuck with unperformers with high wages.
