  • A disastrous start to a new season for Manchester United

Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez continues to work hard behind the scenes ahead of his return to a hopeful team this year.

Martinez suffered an ACL injury in February when Manchester United lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace.

The ruptured ACL has since locked him out of action, and players have returned to light outdoor training in July.

Lisandro Martinez is able to return to the Manchester United team next month

According to The Sun, Martinez is undergoing individual training sessions as part of the final rehabilitation phase.

The report adds that Manchester United are considering easing him to the team once the international break in November ends in response to how his recovery progresses.

The 27-year-old defender continues to be involved behind the scenes, amongst the bystanders who have been promoted to Manchester United leadership group by Bystander Manager Reuben Amorim.

The days of Lisandro Martinez at Manchester United were damaged by injuries

Since joining Manchester United from Ajax in 2022, Lisandro Martinez’s career in the UK has been repeatedly confused by injuries.

The World Cup winner missed a total of 90 games in all competitions in the club and country.

His injury record shows how unlucky he has been in the past three seasons:

After returning from a metatarsal fracture in 2023, Martinez suffered multiple setbacks, including foot injuries, knee problems and calf tension, before the recent ACL rupture of this year, when Martinez needed to go under the knife earlier this year.

A disastrous start to a new season for Manchester United

Man United got off to a terrible start to their new season as their struggle continued.

Ineos has decided to support Ruben Amorim behind the scenes of a disastrous season.

However, the Red Devils currently sit in 10th place in the league, losing three games out of seven games so far.

They were also knocked out of the League Cup, and the town of Grimsby defeated them with a penalty.

The pressure is attached to the Amorim and he appears to be supported by the owner for now, but the manager is thin ice and needs good results to win the trust of the fans.
