  • Jobe Bellingham is struggling at Borussia Dortmund
  • Man United are fans of the English midfielder.

Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the uncertain situation of Borussia Dortmund’s Jobe Bellingham, with the young midfielder said to be reconsidering his future after a tumultuous few weeks in Germany.

According to TEAMtalk, the 20-year-old has been frustrated by limited playing time and a strained relationship with manager Niko Kovac, as well as reports of dressing room issues involving his father.

Despite only joining Dortmund over the summer, Bellingham could press ahead with a move in January, attracting interest from Premier League clubs such as Man United and Crystal Palace.

Jobe Bellingham is struggling at Borussia Dortmund

Bellingham’s time at Borussia Dortmund took a surprising turn. The English midfielder, who was expected to follow in the footsteps of his older brother Jude Bellingham and develop into a key figure at the club, found himself struggling for a few minutes.

He has featured on the bench in five of Dortmund’s last six games, suggesting he is not currently part of Kovac’s preferred starting XI.

The situation reportedly escalated due to “intense exchanges” between Bellingham and Kovac, as well as tensions in the dressing room involving his father, who remains an influential figure in his career.

Dortmund initially viewed Jobe as a promising player, but friction may force them to reconsider his role in the team early on.

If the situation remains unresolved, both player and club could consider leaving on loan or permanently in January.

Man United praise the midfielder’s technical qualities, composure and physical presence, and are said to view him as the ideal player for their evolving system under manager Ruben Amorim.

United’s scouting department have been keeping a close eye on him since his time at Sunderland.

But United are not alone in this initiative. Crystal Palace have also shown strong interest, seeing Bellingham as a player who can add creativity and energy to their midfield.

Dortmund’s valuation and desire to sell will likely depend on whether they can mend the relationship between the player and Kovac before the January deadline.
