Rangers are on the brink of bringing a new manager to Ibrox and have already agreed four demands from the new manager.

Rangers are close to agreeing a permanent deal for Steven Gerrard to return to Ibrox, as reported by Ben Jacobs. The Gers have identified a replacement for Russell Martin and appear destined to welcome the last Scottish Premiership-winning manager to Glasgow.
It’s a quick decision by the 49ers, who know they can’t forget Russell Martin’s tenure and make a mistake with their next appointment. The former Southampton manager only won one of seven games in the Scottish Premiership and was in charge for just 123 days.
Gerrard’s first task will be to turn things around after Rangers’ dismal start. Gers are already nine points behind champions Celtic and 11 points behind unexpected leaders Hearts. Simply put, the Liverpool legend has a monumental task ahead of him.
The new manager will also have the task of keeping the players happy with the club’s current situation. Rumors have already emerged that Nicolas Raskin is attracting interest from Turkish side Besiktas, with the midfielder potentially becoming Rangers’ biggest ever sale.
Losing Ruskin would be a devastating early blow for Gerrard. Gerrard may aim to throw the Belgian into his strongest squad to compensate for Martin’s misdeeds.
The 49ers will likely covet this tenure as soon as they accept one of Gerrard’s main demands.

As reported by TeamTalk, Ibrox bosses have already agreed to Gerrard’s demands for his backroom staff. The incoming manager has reportedly asked Jermain Defoe, Gary McAllister and Stephen Davies to return to the club, along with another unnamed staff member, and all four have agreed.
Now that Gerrard has been handed that guarantee, he should be handed the enthusiastic ‘yes’ that Rangers were looking for and will now set out on his second stint as manager.
The 45-year-old was not afraid to admit the importance of backroom staff in a recent interview with Rio Ferdinand, and his demands on Rangers follow suit.
“I felt it when I teed up at Rangers (Gary McAllister and Michael Beale). I don’t think the coaching changes at Aston Villa and Saudi didn’t help me from a personal point of view.”
“I would love to try again someday, change some things, improve some things and come back fresh with some different people around me.
“I’d like to try two more things on this. That’s what I’m working on in the background right now. I have a few different ideas, a few different people around me.”
Gers have given Gerrard what they asked for and he should play a role in turning things around at Rangers after such a poor start to the season.
