Transfer request: Manchester United target’s agent to hold final meeting next month

Manchester United fans will be thrilled to hear that Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleva is reportedly ready to submit a transfer request.

The Cameroon international made a huge impact during his time at Brighton and the Red Devils have recently shown strong interest in him.

Baleva has long been on the radar of Manchester United, with journalist Indi Kaira claiming the player is open to a move from Brighton.

See Indy Kaira’s post on X (formerly Twitter) below. He says Baleva’s representatives will meet with Seagulls leaders next month…

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, but as we saw with Alexander Isak and the Liverpool vs. Newcastle United saga in the summer just gone, it could be difficult for Brighton to keep their hapless player if he tries to force his way out.

United will no doubt continue to pursue Baleva, but there are some other big names in that area of the pitch who are also eyeing the deal.

According to a recent report from TEAMtalk, Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliott Anderson is also an interesting target for MUFC.

As first reported exclusively by the Daily Briefing, United also like Sevilla’s Lucien Agume as a replacement for Baleva.

Still, many United fans will feel that Baleva is the best of all these options and looks like another Moises Caicedo-esque player at Brighton.

Caicedo eventually made a big-money move to Chelsea, where he continues to establish himself as one of the world’s best players in his position.
