Report: Arsenal, Man United willing to pay £80m for Liverpool target

Arsenal and Manchester United are reported to be among the clubs showing strong interest in Bournemouth’s in-form attacking star Antoine Semenyo.

The Ghanaian international has shone for the Cherries recently and has made a particularly explosive start to this campaign.

Semenyo’s form last season has already attracted the attention of big clubs over the summer, with Sky Sports previously reporting that Semenyo was linked to Manchester United.

Although a move did not materialize at the time, Semenyo has taken his game to the next level this season, with Fiharges now claiming Arsenal, United and Liverpool are among his suitors.

Fichajes said Semenho was expected to cost up to £80m and clubs were willing to pay that amount.

Fiharges suggests Liverpool have an advantage in the race to sign Semenho due to their links with former Bournemouth manager Richard Hughes.

Hughes raided his old club this summer to bring Milos Kerkes to Liverpool, but it is thought that he is keen to try again with the transfer of Semenyo.

However, the 25-year-old may think he has a chance to become a regular at either Arsenal or United.

Liverpool have already signed Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Kodi Gakpo as attacking options in Semenyo’s position.

Arsenal also have some good depth in Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke, but they are often lacking up front due to injuries.

United, on the other hand, may feel that Semenyo could be an upgrade to their attacking line, with summer signings Benjamin Sesco, Brian Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha not yet fully established and making the impact they hoped.
