  • Liverpool need Kefren Thuram
  • Arsenal set to sign Thuram?

Arsenal and Liverpool are among the clubs that have made inquiries about Kefren Thuram.

The 24-year-old French midfielder is highly regarded across Europe and it’s no wonder top teams are keen on him. Clubs such as Chelsea and Tottenham are also tracking the midfielder. However, Juventus have been reluctant to allow him to leave, labeling him untouchable.

Graham Bailey argues on TBR: “Right now, along with Yildiz, Komolli believes he has something special and is being approached. We know that, but they have no intention of letting either of these two go and at the moment they are both considered ‘untouchables’ by Juve.”

Liverpool need Kefren Thuram

Thuram is a talented and promising player who could be a great signing for Arsenal and Liverpool. He will add control, physicality, and defensive cover in the middle of the park.

Liverpool could certainly use a player like him. They are overly reliant on Ryan Grabenbirch and the Dutch international could use some support. The player was overused last season and more depth in that area of the pitch would be ideal.

Thuram averaged 1.7 tackles, 5.1 duels won and 4.2 recoveries per 90 minutes in Serie A last season. He could be an ideal signing for Liverpool if they can get a deal done. However, the Italian side are not keen on allowing him to leave and the Premier League champions will have to make an exceptional offer to persuade them.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have already added decent depth and quality in the middle of the park. It would be pretty surprising if they decided to invest in a 24-year-old. They should aim to further improve the quality of their side. We have enough inventory in the middle of the park, and we need more cutting-edge stuff in the future.

The French midfielder could be tempted by a move to the Premier League, which would be an exciting opportunity for him. However, it seems unlikely that the Italian club will let him move easily. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool and Arsenal decide to make offers for him in the coming months.
