Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly monitoring the progress of Rangers midfielder Nicholas Raskin.

The 24-year-old has been in very good form since joining the Scottish team in 2023 for a fee of around £2 million. Tottenham are currently keen on signing him and have expressed interest in signing him.

TEAMtalk reports that the acquisition will cost around £20m to £25m. Rangers will stand to make a hefty profit from his departure, but it remains to be seen whether Tottenham will make an offer to finalize the deal.

Crystal Palace recently wanted to sign Ruskin. Newly promoted Leeds United also wanted to sign him in the summer.

Spurs could use Nicholas Raskin

They could use more quality and depth in the center of the park and the Belgian would be a useful acquisition. He has the physical and technical characteristics to suit English football and will add much-needed quality and depth to the squad. Tottenham need a hard-working midfielder who can add control, drive and work-rate to the side. The Belgian could be the ideal player for them.

He has proven his quality in the Scottish Premier League and will be looking to move up to the Premier League. Raskin is averaging 3.7 tackles, 1.5 interceptions, 1.9 blocks, 1.9 completions and 1.4 aerials per 90 minutes over the past 12 months.

This will be a big opportunity for the midfielder and he wants to prove himself in the Premier League. He is at the peak of his career and now might be the right time to take on a new challenge. Tottenham have an ambitious project and a high-quality squad and he would be attracted to the idea of joining them.

Tottenham have a quality manager in place and Thomas Frank will be able to get the best out of the Belgian. The North London side have performed well in the Premier League so far, sitting third in the league table. Signing the right player in January could lead to further growth.
